While some people search their whole lives to find their professional calling, I must be the exact opposite. I was born into the real-estate world. I am a second-generation Realtor in North Palm Beach County. My father, Jim O'Rourke, was a commercial broker. My Mom, Dorothy O'Rourke, was in residential real-estate.
I earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and communications from the University of Florida. I then spent a dozen years working for two major pharmaceutical companies, Pfizer and Merck. However, I knew where my heart and professional future lay. I decided to follow in my parent's footsteps and become a Realtor in my hometown.
